# 10a | Solid Fabric Binding

## Module 10a | How to Add Solid Fabric Binding

Like Annie says, you're never fully dressed without a smile - and I kind of feel like a quilt is never fully done until the binding is applied.

In this sub-module, you'll learn how to add binding using a solid fabric to your quilt.

1. Click on the **BINDING/BORDER tab** on the left side control panel.

2. **Enter the width** of your binding.

3. **Select the fabric link** that you'd like to use as the binding from the dropdown menu. In this example, I'll want to use Fabric Link D.

4. You will now see your quilt with binding. In this example, I used Fabric Link D, which is linked to Kona Carrot.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://courses.prequilt.com/youtube-courses/intro-to-prequilt-course/10-or-quilt-binding/10a-or-solid-fabric-binding.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
