Building off of sub-module 08a, we'll learn how to remove the cornerstones from our sashing in this sub-module. The result will be individual pieces of vertical sashing between blocks and one long piece of horizontal sashing between rows of blocks.
To remove the cornerstones from your sashing to make one long piece of sashing:
On the quilt grid, highlight an entire row of blocks by clicking on the number to the left of the row. In this example, I've selected column 2.
You will see now one long empty block cell that would be our horizontal sashing.
Click on the Add to Quilt button for the Fabric Link A One Patch Block.
You will now see that Fabric Link A is now our horizontal sashing for row 2.
Again, there's no need to repeat all those steps over and over. Copy and paste instead!
Click on the single long piece of horizontal sashing in row 2 to select it.
You can either use the Copy/Paste button ()(like in Module 08a) from the central vertical toolbar - OR - you can right click on the block and select Copy.
Click on the first sashing block cell in row 4.
Right click on the block and select Paste.
Repeat steps 3-4 for rows 6, 8 and 10.
You will now see all horizontal sashing are long strips and there are no more cornerstones.
Click on the Merge button () on the central, vertical toolbar.
