04 | Create 2+ colorways for your Autumn Tints quilt.
Objective | To manage different colorways and download color palette information for a specific colorway.
Did You Know | Downloading the image of your quilt makes an excellent quilt map for when you construct your quilt. And downloading the color palette helps when you go shopping.
*Always double check your real fabric, digital swatches look different depending on your monitor settings.
On the central , click on the Download Image button ().
A pop-up window will open with the quilt map on the left hand side and the colorway and block information on the right hand side.
Click on the Download the Design button (on the left side) to download only the quilt map.
Click on Download the Colors + Blocks button (on the right side) to download the color swatches and block information.
Click on the COLOR TAG tab on the left side control panel.
Click on the down arrow next to Original Colorway to activate the dropdown menu.
Click on Clone Existing Colorway.
Name your colorway and click on Save.
Change the colors for your quilt design. In this example, I changed the colors associated with the color tags to these colors.
ATTN: The last color palette standing will automatically be saved as this new colorway. To save it, click on clone it by repeating Steps 02.2-4.
Repeat Steps 02.2-5 as many times as you'd like colorways for.
ATTN: When creating a new colorway, don't forget to Clone Existing Colorway BEFORE you change the colors.
In this example, I have 3 different colorways.
To toggle back and forth between your colorways, click on the down arrow next to the name of the colorway you're currently viewing.
Click on the name of the colorway you'd like to view. In this example, I'll click on Second. Now I'll see the second colorway again.
To download the quilt map, block information and color swatches for each colorway, repeat Steps 01.1-4.
Sometimes you know the color palette that you want to use, but you're not sure on which Color Tag to assign each fabric. That's when randomly shuffling color tags can come in handy. Shuffling color tags will randomly assign the current color swatches to the current color tags.
Click on Clone Existing Colorway.
Name your colorway and click on Save.
Unlock all color tags.
Click on the three dots next to the Create Color Tag button.
Select Shuffle Existing Color Tags.
Now the colors associated to each of the color tags will be shuffled, resulting in a different block and quilt design using the same color palette.
Like shuffling color tags, the Drag & Swap feature keeps the current colorway, but instead of randomly shuffling assigned color swatches, you can manually swap them.
Click on Clone Existing Colorway.
Name your colorway and click on Save.
Unlock all color tags.
Click on the three dots next to the Create Color Tag button.
Select Drag and Swap.
Click on one of the color swatches and drag it up or down to have it become a new color tag. For example, I will drag the color tags into this new order.
Click Close ()to keep these color tags as assigned.
