# 06a | Find a Fabric Collection

{% hint style="danger" %}
**SWATCH SIZE:** It's important to try and find a swatch image that contains a ruler so that you can set the scale of the fabric swatch (so that PreQuilt knows how to use it in your quilts). If it's not in the image, see if the fabric manufacturer lists the swatch's dimension.

## Module 06a | How to Find Fabric Collections Online

Sometimes you want to just download an entire fabric collection's digital fabric swatches and audition them in your quilt ideas. This is often a great option for when you're working with a fat quarter bundle!

Many fabric manufacturers have their current and upcoming fabric collections online and available to download. These are easy to download and import into PreQuilt so that you can use and visualize in your quilt ideas.

Some fabric manufacturers\* that make it easy to download fabric collections are:

* [Moda Fabrics & Ruby Star Society](https://my.modafabrics.com/downloads)
* [Art Gallery Fabrics](https://liveartgalleryfabrics.com/fabrics/fabric-collections/)
* [Free Spirt Fabrics](https://freespiritfabrics.com/)

*\*We are not affiliated with any of these companies. Laura has just found them easy-ish to navigate in order to find digital fabric swatches.*

## Help Guide

The first step is to find digital fabric swatches for the printed fabrics you'd like to use in PreQuilt.

1. Search online and find the digital fabric swatches for the printed fabric collection you'd like to use. In the video tutorial, I downloaded an entire fabric collection from Melody Miller (Ruby Star Society) that I found on the [Moda Fabrics](https://my.modafabrics.com/downloads) website.
2. **Download and save the jpg images** for the printed fabric swatches onto your computer.
