# 10b | Printed Fabric Binding

## <mark style="color:blue;">Module 10b | How to Add Printed Fabric Binding</mark>

In this sub-module, you'll learn how to add binding using a printed fabric swatch to your quilt.

**Hot Tip:** You can now use striped fabric in your binding! We've developed PreQuilt to wrap the binding around the quilt the same way you'd sew it on in real life, so you can get striped binding all pointing in towards the quilt.

### 01 | Add Binding

The first step is to add binding to our quilt.

1. Click on the <mark style="color:blue;">**BINDING/BORDER tab**</mark> on the left side control panel.

   <div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2632437258-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZIxhpDEaPtVb8DXlSENh%2Fuploads%2FyhWNxvN12LkEBeehQ2dw%2FScreen%20Shot%202024-06-04%20at%2011.20.43%20AM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=423afa69-5930-4b75-8af9-ec29f9f24d1d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
2. <mark style="color:blue;">**Enter the width**</mark> of your binding.

   <div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2632437258-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZIxhpDEaPtVb8DXlSENh%2Fuploads%2Fqopy9cqUbnWhvB2IR9Vr%2FScreen%20Shot%202024-06-04%20at%2011.20.55%20AM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=6577dd69-1c9a-463a-84b9-b1c111c99dcc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
3. <mark style="color:blue;">**Select the fabric link**</mark> that you'd like to use as the binding from the dropdown menu. In this example, I'll want to use C.

   <div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2632437258-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZIxhpDEaPtVb8DXlSENh%2Fuploads%2FsZekborcwvtnUYj7DKid%2FScreen%20Shot%202024-06-04%20at%201.36.38%20PM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=87f09846-363a-4e0c-bdc7-5f77b6d28768" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
4. You will now see your quilt with binding, but it's still using a solid fabric.

   <div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2632437258-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZIxhpDEaPtVb8DXlSENh%2Fuploads%2FGY9eOrgl3QMFf5c6HYvy%2FScreen%20Shot%202024-06-04%20at%201.36.21%20PM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=a15150f4-10ca-452f-8d68-089283b159e3" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
